Malakiah's adventures occur on a world called Tarn which is similar to Earth. It has a totally different series of continents. Each day on Tarn is twenty-eight hours long and a year is three hundred and sixty days in length. Tarn's four seasons are ninety days in length and the year begins on the spring equinox.
Tarn has a single moon and is one of an undisclosed number of planets orbiting around its unnamed sun.
Definitely not! The years in the stories bear no relation to any calendar system on Earth. 2100 AU in the story simply means 2100 years After Unification of the separate communities which now compose Perencia, the nation in which Malakiah lives. Countries other than Perencia may have their own calendars and ways of reckoning years.
The Knight Emerges, and The Invasion of the Emerald Valley, for now, will be published as a mixture of ebooks and paperbacks. Reader demand will determine how titles will be published in the future.
